REMEMBERING JAMES MEYER: Campus and community members came together Dec. 6 to pay their respects to the late Chancellor Emeritus James Meyer in, most appropriately, the performing arts facility he had long ago envisioned, the Mondavi Center. Against a backdrop of images of Meyer, speakers included Meyer’s son, Steve, at left, who recalled his father as a man who found his life’s purpose through his work. "He always had projects," said Meyer. "If he had nothing else to do, he’d go into the garage and re-sort the nails."
