CAN’T RAIN ON THEIR PARADE: With instruments and themselves covered in plastic — and a variety of umbrella types — Cal Aggie Marching Band-Uh members and other parade entrants refuse to let the rain stop them Saturday as the campus’s 89th Picnic Day got under way. Campus police reported about 8,000 people attended the event, themed “Rock the Picnic” this year. Veterinary medicine students earned Best Overall Award for their float, featuring giant papier mache farm animals. Through the rain, the vet students kept dancing to “Rock Around the Clock.”
