Baby-bonding proposal allows use of sick leave
Proposed changes to UC's absence-from-work policy include a provision under which new parents could use up to 30 days of sick leave for the purpose of bonding with their babies. The university also is proposing an increase in how much sick leave you could use to family or medical leave to care for a child, spouse, domestic partner or parent (12 weeks, instead of 30 days) and more bereavement leave (10 days instead of five) for the death of a family or household member. ...
